The unique 3D animation certificate course provides an opportunity for animation enthusiasts to unleash their passion for animation on the latest equipment, training with the international industry professionals. The programme encourages individualism and combines the fundamentals of using Autodesk Maya with practical experimentation and personal creativity. Students will graduate from the 8 week programme with the skills and knowledge to create the animation they love and gain a strong foundation for future learning.

Aims

Students attending the SAE 3D Animation (Maya) program will learn comprehensive skills in computer-generated 3D graphics and animation using the industry’s most widely used 3D software packages. The objects of this program are twofold: first to give the student a good theoretical understanding in the systems and equipment used creating animations; and second, to provide in-depth practical experience in the most important production techniques and design concepts available today.

Requirements

Note: There are no academic requirements to participate in this programme. The only entry requirement is for the participant to be at least 17 years of age upon commencement of the course.
