Smiljka is an academic professional, recognised for her expertise in university education and management. Having graduated from the Faculty of Music Art in Belgrade in 2009 with an MA in Musicology, Smiljka continued her academic journey at the University of Arts in Belgrade, earning a Ph.D. in Theory of Art and Media in 2016. Her research and writing expertise particularly span the fields of music, art, culture, and gender studies. Throughout her career, she made significant contributions to academia, publishing numerous articles and studies in reputable journals, both in English and Serbian. She also penned a book that has contributed to the discourse in the field of musicology. In addition to her academic pursuits, Smiljka has garnered valuable experience in media and radio production, contributing her talents at the National Broadcasting Corporation – Radio Belgrade. Currently, she serves as the Academic Coordinator at SAE Institute Belgrade, where she actively shapes the academic landscape and mentors the next generation of scholars and artists.
